“Abide in me, and I in you” (John 15:4)
This instruction Jesus gave to his followers can also be translated as “Make your home in me, as I make my home in you.”
What does this mean practically, how do we stay so connected to Jesus, so focussed on him? Part of this is building good habits which help us regularly turn our thoughts to him. It’s also about making him a priority in our daily rhythms and in how we run our lives.
These habits include reading the Bible, praying and listening to what God has to say, giving, fasting, taking time to rest and enjoy God’s presence and his world.
